The Mohawk Students’ Association (MSA) celebrated the Day of the Dead five days after the Mexican holiday on November 7.
The Association decorated The Cellar with skulls and streamers, and Spanish music could be heard throughout the day and night.
The tables were decorated with black tablecloths, orange accents, and bright orange flowers with glowing candles for added ambiance.
Later in the night, a DJ would spin Spanish tunes to get the party started. Whenever The Cellar hosts a DJ, the pub is always bound to have some dancers rocking the dance floor.
There was also a face painter transforming patrons into skeletons with beautiful bright pink and purple colours. As well as a tarot card reader revealing the futures of those interested.
After the greeting of a skeleton at the front door, visitors knew this week’s pub night wouldn’t be like any other.
